I’m travelling to Canada to visit the French cities of Montreal and Quebec City, the multicultural city of Toronto and the Maritime Province of Nova Scotia. Canada is a huge country and many people including me don’t know much about it. Canada has also been getting a lot of attention due to President Trump stating it should become the 51st US State. In this video I learn about Canada’s history, speak to the locals, and partake in favourite Canadian pastimes like eating poutine, watching ice hockey, trying my hand at axe throwing, and enjoying maple syrup season at a sugar shack. What I’ve realised is that Canada is a country made up of unique provinces, each with their own history and culture, the Quebecois are tied to their French history and language, Canadians from Toronto are a melting pot of different cultures and the Nova Scotians have a big cultural influence from their English and Scottish heritage; and together they all make up what Canada is today. There’s still a lot of Canada left to explore, and I can’t wait to come back soon and see more of this beautiful country!
