The global food system has increasingly been at the center of the climate debate, as it contributes up to a a degree of additional warming by 2100. Sensible policies are hindered by carbon footprinting conventions that distort the impact of methane – in both directions. This lecture will explain the ways in which we can strive for a sustainable livestock industry that is compatible with a stable climate, too.
