Ghana is facing severe drought in key food production regions, threatening food and economic security. To counteract losses, the World Bank has committed $85 million to support 500,000 smallholder farmers with fertilizers and improved seeds. This follows a successful $40 million initiative under the West Africa Food System Resilience Program, which benefitted 156,000 farmers.
